Ministries
Check it out. There’s a ministry for everyone at St. Andrew’s.
Members and non-members alike.

Hospitality Ministries

Join the radical hospitality team. We want everyone to feel welcome and engaged here. Check out this ministry if you love people and you love St. Andrew’s. We have many different ways for you to enthusiastically share your passion for the church with visitors, attendees and member alike.

Greeters
Do you have a winning smile and a friendly handshake? You’re qualified. We want you to welcome people at the entrances before Worship Services on Saturday evening or Sunday mornings, and other special occasions. It’s your job to help create a warm, welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.

Hospitality Host (Donuts and Coffee)
Sunday mornings are great!  Not only do we have a great worship service, but we offer donuts and coffee between services.  If you'd like to help make coffee, keep donut area clean, or can help clean up coffee- we have a job for you!

Mugger’s Ministry/Welcome Table
This is actually a lot friendlier than it sounds. We give first-time visitors mugs at the end of each service. You’ll also spend time between and after services answering questions and pointing people to information about the United Methodist Church, St. Andrew’s, ministry opportunities, activities and events. You may need to give directions to areas around the church as well. The only requirement is a friendly, welcoming attitude. To volunteer, contact:

Radical Hospitality Leadership Team
We’re looking for a few good men and woman to provide feedback, support and leadership for all areas of Radical Hospitality, including Ushers, Greeters, Muggers, Hospitality Hosts and the Welcome Table. These captains will help coordinate their area. Team meetings are held the third Tuesday every other month.

Wedding Facilitator
This loving task asks that you help make sure that the wedding goes off without a hitch. It’s your job to make sure that the bride and groom, pastors and church staff all know what’s expected of them. Weddings are assigned as they are available. For more information, contact:

Ushers
After the Greeters have welcomed people to the church, you welcome them to the sanctuary. Key tasks include handing out bulletins, receiving offering, counting attendance, assisting people with needs during services, answering questions and putting the offering away after the service. You can sign up to help at any of our three services:

  • Saturday evenings at 4:45 p.m.
  • Sunday mornings at 8:15 and 9:45 a.m.
