All About the Youth!

Confirmation
The goal of confirmation is to have each youth commit to a real and personal faith, cherish the rich heritage we have as United Methodists, and build relationships with those who will support them in their faith. We are solidifying what parents, families, church and God have done before. Classes begin January 8th and run through April on Sunday aftermoon from 4:00-5:00 PM.  Fill out the last page of the INFORMATION PACKET and return to the church.  or SIGN-UP ONLINE

Sunday School
(Grades 6-12, Year Round) Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m., scripture is made more accessible to youth in an interactive and relevant way with curriculum that is timely and relevant to their lives.  The High School group meet in the lower level Youth Room and the Middle School group meet in the Music/Middle School Room.   The first Sunday of each month we meet in the sanctuary for worship.

Youth Praise Band
Our musically inclined youth have formed their own Praise Band to perform at youth Sunday School as well as some of our Worship Services.  Please contact Ben Wedeking for more information.  bwedeking@standrewsomaha.net

Wednesday Night Activities

Come join us for HANGTIME!  The kids enjoy games, fellowship and some great food before Bible Study.6-7PM

Bible study takes place from 7 to 8 p.m. with 6th through 8th grades meeting in the Music/Middle School Room and senior high meeting in the Youth Room.

Youth Mission Trips
Each year, the senior-high youth, grades 9 through 12, have the opportunity to be a part of a week-long mission trip outside of our home community through a program called YouthWorks! Our 8th Grade Confirmation students can take part in a local weekend-mission trip called the “Omaha Urban Plunge.” Grades 6 and 7 focus on local day-mission work.

Boy Scouts

Looking for outdoor  adventures?  Troop 308 meets every Monday night from 7pm -  8:30pm, and organizes monthly campouts at a variety of locations in Eastern  Nebraska and Western Iowa.  The Boy Scout program provides   opportunities to learn outdoor skills and develop leadership qualities, while  being an active member of the community.  For more  information,  please visit the Troop 308 website www.troop308omaha.com  or  contact:
