Plan A Visit

We know that life can be challenging, confusing, lonely and difficult at times.  That is why we want you to know that St. Andrew's is a safe place to ask questions and explore your faith. None of us have all of the answers, but we are a community of imperfect people who come together each week to seek fulfillment in our lives through loving God, knowing Jesus and serving others.  No matter where you are on your journey through life, you belong here!

What to Expect

Saturdays 5 p.m. & Sundays 8:30 & 10 a.m.

Our services consist of worship through music and prayer, followed by a message from our pastor and they are typically one hour long. We are located at 15050 West Maple Road in Omaha.

Parking

We have parking available all around the church, with handicap parking located near the entrance of our church building.  Our main sanctuary entrance is a great place to enter, but if you have small children and intend to use our nursery or have your children attend KidMin Small Groups at the 10 a.m. service you can use our Family Entrance near the St. Andrew's Center for Kids (StACK).

Greeters

We know visiting a new church can be intimidating, that's why we have a Guest Services team who would love to meet you and show you around.  We don't always recognize first time visitors, so feel free to stop by our Welcome Desk and let us know you are here. Then we can guide you in, show you around and we have a gift for you!

Food and Drink

On Sunday mornings grab a hot cup of coffee from our Hospitality area and sit wherever you like.  Coffee is allowed in the sanctuary so make yourself at home.

Kid-Friendly

We strive to provide a loving and safe learning environment for kids and families.  KidMin Small Groups for preschool through fifth grade meet during our 10 a.m. worship service. Our children’s programming uses a small group/large group model to help connect your child to the fun and relevancy of the Bible while teaching virtues every month that makes these biblical lessons applicable for today.

To get started you will check your child in and out of our St. Andrew's Center for Kids (StACK) using a special labeling system. If it’s your first-time check-in at the welcome desk to fill out a simple registration form. Then you will receive 3 labels for each child. One label is your child’s name tag, one is for your child’s small group leaders class list and one is for the parent to use as a claim check for secure pick-up of your child. Our security team monitors the StACK entrance and hallways and the StACK wing is locked for your child’s protection during each service. The wing is re-opened after each service and parents can always enter during the service by showing the security team your claim check.

Nursery care is provided for babies and toddlers during all three of our worship services in the same area.  All of our KidMin volunteers must pass background checks, have been trained, CPR certified, and have a heart for kids and families.

Youth

We want our Middle School and High School students to know they are an important part of our church family, which is why they join us in our regular worship services.  During the 10 a.m. service our Youth Director and several students worship together in the front left corner of the Sanctuary.  We would love for your students to stop by and join the group!

What We Believe

For centuries, the United Methodist faith community has connected people with God and with one another. Since its founding in 1991, St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church has kept this mission in our hearts as we strive to put our faith and love into action. We do this by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through Radical Hospitality, Passionate Heart-Warming Worship, Risk-Taking Mission and Service, Vital Faith Formation, Gracious Generosity, and Connectional Joy.

You can learn more about the beliefs of the United Methodist Church here.

Membership

Membership is not a requirement for participating in any of the ministries of St. Andrew's, but we do love inviting people to officially join the church.  All are welcome and loved here.  If you have questions about what membership involves, contact our Guest Services Coordinator, Debbie McGovern.
