Bob Tjarks

Production Coordinator

As Production Coordinator at St. Andrew's, Bob enjoys training and scheduling the volunteers for the church's audio and video functions for weekly worship services. This includes overseeing volunteer personnel for computer graphics, lighting, camera operators, video switchers, director for multi-camera production, and audio mixing for both the sanctuary and those worshiping online. Bob also oversees the production of all other events held in the sanctuary including concerts, weddings, funerals, graduation ceremonies, and the Omaha Town Hall lecture series.

A 1982 graduate of the University of Iowa, Bob received his degree in music education specializing in electronic music and studying recording techniques. Prior to his tenure at St. Andrew's, Bob spent 30 years in Chicago, Illinois in the professional music industry where he worked with dozens of notable Grammy award winning artists, engineers, and producers. When not at St Andrew's, Bob enjoys playing golf, watching Chicago professional sports (having Chicago Cubs season tickets for 14 years), and watching University of Iowa college sports.

Bob has been married to his wife Diane since 2011. Together, they enjoy road trips to visit National Parks, traveling to attend Major League Baseball games, and going to Chicago Blackhawks hockey games. A connoisseur of pizza, Bob favors a large Chicago Deep Dish with Italian sausage from Lou Malnati's!
