Ben Hanne
Lead Pastor
Ben Hanne is the lead pastor at St. Andrew’s. To him, leading a church is about helping everyone work together as the body of Christ to serve the world.
Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Ben received his Master of Divinity degree from Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado. He's served in ministry for over 20 years in churches of all sizes, from 12 faithful worshippers to over 400, and served five years as the Chaplain of Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. For 15 of those years Ben helped plan and lead week-long church camps for middle and high school students. Ask him sometime about facilitating high ropes courses!
Ben loves the United Methodist Church and is a bona fide UMC nerd: he's attended several General Conferences (for fun!), co-hosted a podcast about UMC clergy, and is happy to talk anyone's ear off about Methodist history and politics. One of the things that makes Ben proudest about being United Methodist is that it brings together both the head and the heart to follow Jesus' call to serve people.
Outside of St. Andrews, Ben loves games, music, people and animals of all kinds, tech of all kinds, learning as many new skills as he can, and hiking or snowshoeing in the mountains whenever he gets the chance.
