The Christmas Season
We desire our worshiping community to experience a holy, peaceful and safe Advent and Christmas season. It’s important for us all to help one another as brothers and sisters in Christ as much as possible this year. We are offering many ways to worship God and grow closer to Jesus and one another in this season.
Christmas Kindness Challenge
Kindness really does pay this holiday season! St. Andrew’s has $10,000 to donate, and we need your help deciding which 20 nonprofits to give it to. You can enter daily for a chance to win $500 for your favorite nonprofit organization by joining our Christmas Kindness Challenge. All you have to do is complete a simple act of kindness for your chance to enter. Together we can make a difference, one act of kindness at a time! Find more details here.
Holiday Giving & Serving Guide
There are many ways to support local organizations for Christmas! Check out our Holiday Giving & Serving Guide for ways to make a difference right here in Omaha.
Family Advent Kits
This Christmas season we wanted to offer our families a way to bring the anticipation, wonderment, and joy of remembering Christ’s birth to your home. We would like to offer you a free Family Advent Kit to do with your children once a week for the four weeks leading up to Christmas. It contains all that you need to make the Advent season fun, meaningful, and spiritually rich! We have a few more left, so contact to arrange a time for pick up.
This Christmas season, gather with others to focus on the story of Jesus by joining an Advent study from the comfort of your home. Click on 'Studies' on the group finder to sign-up!
Lessons & Carols
We are pleased to host Resonance, Omaha's premier vocal ensemble, in a special Lessons & Carols Christmas concert on December 13. The event will be live and livestreamed, and will feature music by this local professional ensemble and readings from friends of Resonance including Broadway actors and directors, as well as several local celebrities. Don't miss this beautiful opportunity to spend an evening preparing for Christmas on Sunday, December 13 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Andrew's.
No tickets or reservations are needed, but we encourage you to support Resonance by making a donation through Eventbrite.
Rest & Reflect
There is something special and Holy about the space of a sanctuary. Because of the pandemic, for many, it’s been months since walking through the doors. The St. Andrew’s sanctuary will be open on Saturday, December 19, from 1-4 PM. If you need prayer time, stop by to be in the space safely to rest and reflect.
Virtual Blue Christmas
This year has been unlike any other year. As individuals and as a community, we’ve dealt with grief and loss in various and unfathomable ways. If you are grieving the loss of a loved one or family tradition or are just looking for a glimmer of light, we hope you will join us on December 19 at 7 PM for our Blue Christmas Service. You can watch on YouTube at standrewsomaha or via our website at www.standrewsomaha.net. There are people in your life who need hope, will you invite them?
Christmas Eve Worship
We invite you to join our Pastors, Worship Team, Choir, and others for our virtual Christmas Eve worship service. Special locations and music selections will help us share the Christmas story in a unique and timely way, while also honoring some of our church’s favorite traditions. Our service may be virtual, but our worship is very real. You can join us live online at 3pm and 5pm, or watch on demand at your convenience. Join us as we celebrate the Light coming to fill the darkness!
For an in-person option, join us at 7pm for a brief outdoor Christmas carol and candlelight service. We will meet outside of the main entrance marked Sanctuary. Masks required.
