Counting Every Blessing

Sometimes people use the #blessed for any good piece of fortune that comes their way. Yet if God wanted us all to have a new car or get that scholarship or find that perfect partner, why isn’t it happening for all of us all of the time? In our post-Easter sermon series, we will dive deeper than our surface good fortune and explore what is a blessing from God and what is just luck. We will explore the blessings that God pours out on all of us: our very lives, strength during struggle, forgiveness, people who love us (especially those who love us with God’s mothering love), baptism & our place in God’s family, the freedom and possibility of a good future, and the presence of the Holy Spirit that keeps us going through all of it. Here at St. Andrew’s and All Saints Online, we know that it has been a season of struggle for many. So this spring, we are grounding ourselves in gratitude and counting every blessing that God provides as we work to be a blessing for others.
