Our next get-together will be a visit to the Hot Shops artist collective downtown on Saturday, March 21st at 10:00 a.m. The Hot Shops Art Center was the first of its kind in the area and is now home to 90 resident artists in 50 studios. We'll have a guided tour, meet a few of the artists, and enjoy a pottery demonstration.
Afterward, those who want to will walk across the street to have some lunch and/or ice cream in the Ashton Building.
Cost for the tour and pottery demonstration is $6 per person. There is an upper limit of 20 participants. To reserve your space, please text or email Sue at 402-672-5674 or by March 16. We will have paid in advance so you can just repay us at the door.
Hot Shops is located at 1301 Nicholas Street, in the heart of the Millwork Commons neighborhood. Parking has become more difficult with surrounding residential and commercial development, so participants are encouraged to car pool. We'll send out some parking guidance as we get closer to the event.
