It may sound like a joke to talk about “The Gospel According to Mary Poppins,” but the truth is, these stories keep brushing up against real spiritual questions: becoming like a child again so we can see wonder, learning to let go of control, paying attention when the wind changes, and discovering that grace often arrives in ways we didn’t expect. Across these two weeks, we’ll use the world of Mary Poppins as a conversation partner for talking about the Holy Spirit, change, imagination, healing, and the strange work of God in seasons of transition. Because sometimes what looks like disruption is actually invitation. Sometimes the thing we need most is not certainty, but openness. And sometimes the people most ready for what God is about to do are the ones willing to loosen their grip just enough to be surprised.
