God, where do You want me to be in my giving?

At St. Andrew’s, we believe that generosity is a spiritual practice rooted in belonging, gratitude, justice, and Christ-centered transformation. Every person begins in a different place, and every place is welcomed. This path isn’t about pressure, it’s about prayerfully asking: God, where do You want me to be in my giving?

The Giving Path

Grounded in Psalm 23 and shaped by our values of hospitality, service, justice, and deep relationship, the Giving Path helps each of us take a faithful next step.

A Beginning Giver makes a first-time or occasional gift to a faith community. This step marks a fresh start—a new season of generosity. It reflects an openness to God’s leading and a willingness to step into the journey of giving with intention and trust. This beginning is not about where you’ve been, but about where God is inviting you to go next.

An Emerging Giver begins giving a planned percentage of income. This step reflects spiritual emergence - discovering what generosity means, feeling connected enough to participate, and beginning to practice giving as part of one’s discipleship.

A Growing Giver increases their giving percentage as their trust deepens. This step reflects movement and growth - aligning generosity more closely with gratitude, justice, and the mission of the church.

A Devoted Giver practices giving at or near a tithe (10%), or is intentionally growing toward it. This step reflects steady, mature commitment - generosity as a spiritual anchor and an expression of devotion to Christ’s work in and through St. Andrew’s.

An Overflowing Giver gives beyond the tithe, moved by abundant gratitude and a desire to expand the reach of ministry. This step reflects joyful generosity - giving that pours outward into service, justice, compassion, and transformative impact.
